First, check that your computer meets the system requirements required by TCM before installation.
Place the TCM CD into your CD-ROM drive, make sure that no other programs are running on your system apart from Windows 95/98 or NT4 Workstation, because the installer will not be able to update files if they are in use by another program. The CD is not designed to auto-run so click on the Windows 'Start' button and choose run from the menu. At the command prompt enter: X:\setup.exe Where 'X' is the letter of your CD-ROM drive. |
The Apt installer will guide you through the installation of TCM. The installation procedure is easy, just make sure that you read what is displayed on screen before moving on to the next stage of the installation.
Note: When you first run the TCM installation it may need to update certain files on your system. If your system does need updating a message will appear on screen saying that you will need to restart your computer and run the TCM installation again once the files have been updated. Follow the instructions on screen and once the files have been updated, TCM should install correctly. If you then continue to have a problem with installation
check that all other applications are closed. To do this press the
Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys all at the same time, then release them. Once the programs have been closed run the TCM installation again. |
